Dyer Brown Hosts CoreNet Global - NE Chapter's: "Talent in Transition" Series

31 January 2016

The series, which are held each month at different locations throughout the downtown Boston area, are designed as casual, professional networking events, keeping attendance levels to approximately 15-25.

"This type of format allows both participants and panelists the opportunity to actively engage in conversation and share experiences", said Sara Ross, Director of Corporate Services, Dyer Brown, and committee organizer of this month's event. “What I love about the talent in transition group is not only are we able to give back to our fellow colleagues in transition, but we also have the ability to provide valuable information to the CRE community on career advancement in their current organizations.”

Panelists offered a plethora of helpful information, but the five key takeaways:

  • Be flexible and hone your consultant skills
  • Stay social and communicate often with peers and colleagues
  • When asked: "Where do you see yourself in five years?"
    • Respond: "Where do you see me in five years?"
  • Be proactive - Interview even when there is no open position
  • Network. Network. Network.

The next Talent in Transition event is scheduled for March 7, 2016.

Dyer Brown is proud to be a corporate sponsor and active member of the CoreNet Global - New England Chapter.
