“Kasumi always prioritizes flawless execution of design during construction. When she is on-site with contractors and a problem arises, she never hesitates to roll up her sleeves to get into the nooks and crannies of a space to demonstrate the purpose behind a design so it is carried out correctly.”Brent Zeigler, President/Director of Design
Kasumi joined Dyer Brown as a Senior Interior Designer with a broad range of experience in retail and restaurant spaces, pharmaceutical, workplace, fitness centers, and high-end residential work. With over 17 years of experience, she brings a seasoned design perspective to current Dyer Brown projects that include higher education, amenity spaces and office lobby redesigns.
Ever since she was a young girl playing with blocks and doll houses, Kasumi has been fascinated by the way that built environments influence our experiences. She is flexible designing spaces for work or play – and was involved in designing the retail, theater, cinema, and restaurant spaces inside all four of the cruise ships in Disney’s fleet. Kasumi’s favorite part about her career in Interior Design is working face-to-face with clients, discussing their design vision, and transforming it into reality. She graduated from Wentworth Institute of Technology with a BS in Interior Design.
Outside of work, Kasumi enjoys cooking, gardening, and experiencing the world through her toddler son’s eyes.Next: Kirsten Smith-Sparrow ← Back to Team
